KELTENHOF
From salad specialties, to wild and meadow herbs, to edible flowers: for Gerhard Daumüller, the quality of the produce at his Keltenhof farm is paramount. His father founded the vegetable farm in Filderstadt Bernhausen back in 1958. Gerhard Daumüller took over his parents' business in 1992. Since then, high-quality salads, vegetables and herbs have been grown in the fertile landscape of the Filder plain near Stuttgart under his careful guidance.
FROM THE FIELD TO THE PLATE
To ensure high quality, the plants are processed and cut exclusively by hand. The plants are harvested in the morning, processed at lunchtime, and are already on their way the next day. The result is appreciated and used by top chefs due to its high quality and constant availability.
DILIGENCE AND QUALITY
Cultivation places the highest demands on harvesting, production and logistics. Careful processing and cooling ensure top quality. For example, an optical sorter uses sophisticated laser and camera technology to detect foreign matter or color changes in the harvested produce. Special packaging is used to protect the produce and some of it is breathable. This guarantees crisp leaves with intense aromas. Fast processing with a continuous cold chain from goods receipt to production and order picking guarantees that all products always reach the customer in top quality.
